Exhibition Flowers-2017: Everything For The Garden

The Flowers-2017 exhibition (23-25 August) brought together participants from 10 countries. As usual, the Association of Planting Stock Producers (APPM) was represented by a consolidated stand and the best nurseries. At the end of the exhibition hall, a green area was designed - a real garden with benches, where visitors were happy to plunge into the sea of greenery.

The well-known Tyumen nursery of Margarita Akhmechet has shown its willows at the "Flowers" exhibition. Among them, the most amazing is the microgoza willow (Salix microgosa). This is a creeping shrub no more than 20 cm tall, whose thin twigs take root at the nodes and continue the spread of the plant, which can be guided by a shearing. Over time, the plant forms dense thickets. Reddish annual growths give it a decorative effect. The foliage is sparse, small, dense. You can imagine how funny this plant looks in spring, covered with catkins larger than leaves. This willow, spread over the ground, winters well, tolerates drought and is considered most of all as a plant for rock gardens and other rocky gardens, as well as decorating slopes and retaining walls.

Rose growers should be pleased with the fragrant varieties from the world famous French company Meilland, which certainly have a scent as a quality mark:

Nicolas Ulo is a large rose (up to 40 petals), combining shades from light to bright yellow. In the aroma, you can feel notes of not only rose, but also verbena, and the trail remains citrus.

Angie Romantica is a pastel pink rose of an old building, with several centers. Experts detect apricot, mango, peach, grapefruit, and alkali in its fruity aroma.
Cream Piaget is a delicate vanilla rose that in full disclosure takes on a peony shape. The scent consists of notes of fresh herbs, anise, licorice, chicory, walnut and even new skin.

But back to our land. Here are three varieties of strawberries from the Poisk company, literally for every taste and color. You want - red, but you want - white (Pineberry). Seed-growing forms seemed to compete in the beauty and “deliciousness” of the harvest. "Gavrish" and "Sedek" presented many varieties of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplants, cabbage, carrots, onions, beets - all of us cannot demonstrate, only the most catchy. Eggplants are now in trend long and not very thick, for the convenience of frying on skewers.

And here is the Partner company. This basket probably contains an ultra-early large rounded tomato hybrid Lyubasha F1, which yields 5 kg of fruit from a bush, and a triumphant, recognized as the standard of taste, a yellow tomato Kotya F1, hangs down from the basket.

Not for the first time at the exhibition you can see the products of Happy Plant. Grow me up! " The range of products for children grows every year and becomes more and more entertaining. The colorful sets contain both soil and seeds - everything you need to introduce your child to the garden.

But the main content of the exhibition consisted of goods for gardeners - tools, protective equipment, containers for growing plants, equipment for plant care.

Everyone knows what a malicious attack is herbivorous mites. At the exhibition there was presented a drug against ticks "Breeze", the active ingredient of which is 25% cypermethrin. The drug is from the same group of cypermethins as Talstar (alpha-cypermethrin), which is not approved for use on personal plots. This drug has a 3rd hazard class (i.e. moderate), so gardeners can use it.

The elixir for indoor plants is easy to use - the ampoule is stuck in the ground, and the plant receives nutrition and stimulants. Restores weakened specimens and induces flowering. First of all, it will be useful for those who often leave, or have a large collection of plants.

The company "Bashinkom", firmly defending the principles of Organic Living Farming, presented a whole line of trace elements of various compositions for the prevention and elimination of physiological disorders of plant development and diseases. And the concentrated liquid preparation "Sotka Chernozem" literally turns the earth into black soil. Another novelty from the company - Taiga moss, will be useful, first of all, for lovers of orchids, Gesneria and other indoor plants.

Fitofert Rizoflex is a plant-based liquid biostimulant used for transplanting seedlings and in the early stages of crop development. Stimulates root growth. And "Fitofert Aminoflex" contains free amino acids, works as an anti-stress drug, stimulates the production of chlorophyll, improves the general condition of plants.

At the stand with green manure crops, which are not in short supply on the shelves, I noticed mustard cake. It can be used in place of green manure or mulch. Here, a bruise (echium) is proposed for sideration - a plant not only useful, but also decorative, no worse than the popular phacelia.

A new substrate for indoor plants, cuttings or mulch in the garden - Orechnin. Contains 100% coconut. But these are not usual fibers, but a processed product, shredded and ready to use. A small-sized compressed briquette in a fluffed form gives 70 liters of soil. Pressed decorative fences were presented from the same material, which are also suitable for covering near-trunk circles of trees and shrubs, while being quite durable.

And these are new fertilizers, the names of which speak for themselves. They are enriched with certain trace elements or ash.

Thanks to all these innovations, gardening can turn from hard work into a pleasant pastime - so many beautiful and useful things can now be purchased - and a ready-made greenhouse that can be cleaned for the winter, and automatic irrigation with various cunning stretching hoses, and fences for beds made of durable composite material, and carts - seeders. It would only be a little more affordable.
