Video: From The Garden Back To The Apartment

The summer vacation period for indoor plants is over. Warm days are in the past, it's time to return to the windowsills. As a rule, houseplants move in September immediately to the room or to the loggia, and problems begin again …
Plants are already accustomed to space, sunlight or partial shade, free air circulation, and its high humidity. And we put them back into dry hot air and low illumination.
That is why they get sick again - they shrink, turn yellow, dry up and fall off the leaves, flowering and growth stops. Plants are again undergoing stress from changing conditions. To relieve sharp moments, place the plants in the brightest and coolest place - a room with a southern or western window and an air temperature within + 15-17 ° C, as far as possible from heating appliances.
If there are no such conditions, the window faces east or north and the temperature is above + 17 ° C, then you will have to carry out additional lighting for 8-12 hours a day, having bought for this purpose energy-saving lamps or phytolamps with the spectrum of light necessary for plants.
If the plants were not dug in or transplanted into garden soil, then they can not change the substrate, but if they were added dropwise or transplanted, the soil must be replaced. The fact is that over the summer, earthworms, slugs, wood lice and other lodgers accumulate in the soil, the presence of which in the soil with indoor plants is undesirable. Also carry out a physical examination for the presence of pests - aphids, caterpillars, etc. and wash them off or treat them appropriately.

In the future, plant care is carried out according to their requirements and the presence / absence of a dormant period - watering, feeding, spraying or dry maintenance. In order for the plants to "come to their senses" faster, you can use bioregulatory preparations - Zircon, Domotsvet, Epin-Extra and the like.
For the correct maintenance of plants, which also depends on the dormancy period, see the article Dormancy of indoor plants.
Many indoor plants will be grateful to you for spending the summer “free” - they will get stronger and gain strength for a long winter. However, do not forget to take them back on time and carefully take care of the first 1.5-2 months required for adaptation to new conditions, otherwise, instead of joy, they will have to be “pumped out” all autumn and winter.
