Video: Winter Garden On The Loggia

As a rule, the passion for indoor plants begins with a couple of plants you like. But soon it grows into a hobby, and I want to buy both this and that … This is how a decent collection of interesting plants is collected, and there are not enough window sills. Where to place all the pets dear to your heart with comfort for yourself and the plants themselves, especially in winter? A good answer to this question is to take the loggia. Plants that need a cool winter temperature will especially like it here.

In this case, the loggia has already ceased to be isolated - after the redevelopment, it became an extension of the room. The room has increased both light and space. On the windows of the loggia there are double-glazed windows, the walls and the floor under them are insulated with Penoplex, in winter the temperature is about +20 o C.
Climbing plants were placed on the walls, in wooden boxes and shelves. The boxes are white, deliberately aged, providing a neutral background for any plants. And the walls of light green color bring a sense of freshness to the decor.

But the bulk of the plants were placed on the podiums - let's call them that. Their frames are made of thick plywood, and the finish, a bit like parquet, is made of vertical strips of valuable wood species - oak, ash, larch, etc. When stained, they give different shades of wood and different textures. So that the structure does not look monotonous, colored inserts are included in places - these are painted pieces of wood. The top is not made in the form of a table, but is lowered so as to immerse the pots with pallets. In order to make it easier to change the pots in places, containers are made under them from a border tape fixed with paper clips. The space between them is covered with white pebbles (you can use marble chips, expanded clay - of your choice, but not limestone, it will harm the plants by alkalizing the environment).

Everything here is functional - empty pots, fertilizers, watering cans, plant care products are hidden in deep pull-out drawers, which are completely invisible when closed.

It is convenient to enter this winter garden - all corners are rounded, there is nothing to catch on (the space is small, and this is important). Thanks to the rational layout, even a small semicircular table, inlaid with colored inserts, fits in, at which it is pleasant to have a cup of coffee in the morning.

The space turned out to be not only bright and beautiful, but also fascinating. You can consider not only plants for a long time, but also decorative elements - frames, a carved bird on a twig, a birdhouse, an openwork cage for birds, mosaic elements on boxes for pots.

It is nice to add a small fountain to such a composition - it will not only decorate plant compositions, but also increase the humidity of the air.
In the summer, the problem of protecting the plants from direct sunlight is easily solved - there are blinds on the windows and, in addition, only the most light-loving plants can remain on the windowsill, and the rest can be moved deeper. Compositions can be easily transformed by moving the plants in the boxes - you can always give a winning place to those plants that have bloomed.
Here is such a winter garden - a transformer!
