We will try to tell you about some of the devices that make the life of a pond breeder easier, with the help of which the care of the pond, its maintenance, becomes quite simple and even enjoyable.

1. Nets

An indispensable attribute of each pond should be a landing net (like a shovel for a gardener). This is the simplest and most affordable device for keeping the water mirror clean. Owners of the smallest ponds can be limited to them. In more "serious" reservoirs, the landing net serves as an auxiliary tool. On sale there is a fairly wide variety of nets, differing in purpose, size, shape, "bells and whistles" and, accordingly, price. To remove dirt and dead plant parts, a net with a fine-mesh net is needed, for catching fish - with a much larger one. Most of the nets are equipped with telescopic handles for easy maintenance of different sized ponds. New - a net with a protective edge along the rim, which protects the net from damage.

Through the skimmer floating on the surface of the water, the pump sucks in the surface layer of water, and thus creates a flow towards the skimmer. You just have to periodically empty his trash. They depend on the water level, although they allow it to fluctuate within small limits. Floating skimmers equipped with floats do not depend on the water level in the pond. 4. Ilosos

A skimmer or landing net will help collect debris from the surface of the pond, but dead plant parts, fish excrement, some cut grass and leaves will still accumulate at the bottom of the pond. In addition to the fact that all this is unsightly, during the decomposition of organic matter, ammonia is released, poisoning the life of all inhabitants of the pond. The solution to this problem can be a sludge pump that can remove silt, dirt particles, algae, etc. suction method through an adjustable nozzle. Such a suction pump works according to the principle of a conventional vacuum cleaner, only it does not suck in air, but water with dirt. The sucked-in water flows into one of the two built-in reservoirs, while the other is automatically emptied and vice versa. This ensures the continuity of the unit. 5. Grid

Autumn has come, and with it the problem of falling leaves. Even if the trees don't grow near your pond, the hooligan wind will pick up dry autumn leaves wherever possible and throw them right into the pond! Not a single skimmer can handle this! What to do? And the way out is quite simple - to pull a special mesh over the surface (by the way, it is almost imperceptible on the surface of the pond). It will not let foliage and other debris sink to the bottom. Then it's easy to remove it all. There are nets of different sizes on sale, all of them are equipped with pegs for fastening on the shore.

6. Heaters

Another useful device is a pond water heater. Equipped with a float and a ten-meter cable, this heater prevents the formation of a continuous ice shell of the reservoir. Oxygen enters the pond through the wormwood, which is very important for the successful wintering of fish. The heater can also be inserted into a special slot in the pressure filter housing.

7. Sockets

A very important issue, which is often overlooked, is the issue of power supply for various electrical appliances in your garden or pond. Along with the pumps of filtration systems, streams and waterfalls, which must work constantly, it is desirable to turn on and off the lamps in a pond or garden with maximum simplicity, adjust the height of fountain jets, and you never know what else. This is what remote controlled garden sockets are designed for. Depending on the model, such devices have from one to three sockets with an on / off function and one with a pump speed control function. 9. Speed controller

Sometimes it is quite difficult to find a pump with a capacity that exactly meets the specified parameters. This is a very simple, but at the same time effective design of double action: water, flowing through the filter element, is purified, and flows out through the spout like a decorative waterfall. These filters help maintain the biological balance of the pond.

11. Hoses

Various hoses are used to connect different parts of filtration systems, pumps, skimmers and other equipment. The main requirements that they must satisfy are strength, flexibility, crease resistance, absence of kinks and kinks during installation, and, if possible, a camouflage color. Spiral hoses meet all these requirements. Now there are two types of such hoses on the market: the so-called "black", which is more flexible (for pressure up to 1 bar) and "green", which is much more rigid, but also more durable (for pressure up to 3 bar).
