Video: Kitchen And Tea Gardens

Everyone knows that a garden can be decorative, designed to delight our eyes, or utilitarian, providing us with fresh vegetables and fruits. However, both of these functions of the garden can be combined together. Our ancestors understood this well, planting flowers next to fruit trees and berry bushes.
As you know, everything new is nothing but a well forgotten old. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in the fact that recently in the West flower beds of vegetables have become so popular, which in themselves are a magnificent decoration of the garden. The traditional "kitchen" gardens in England look very attractive, where much attention is paid to their external design: the plantings of vegetables are divided by picturesque stone paths, reminiscent in their outlines of a fancy crossword puzzle. And in small gardens, spicy and vegetable plants are often grown like flowers in containers. Sometimes brightly flowering annuals are planted with them. It is not uncommon for such containers to stand right at the entrance to the house. Both beautiful and convenient: you don't have to go far for greenery.
The so-called "tea" gardens are becoming more and more popular in Europe. A wide variety of plants are planted in them, used to make different types of teas. The basis of the composition of the "tea" garden is made up of wild rose and chubushnik, around which you can plant the most popular "tea" plants: oregano, incense, mint, chamomile, St. John's wort, calendula, thyme …

Deserved popularity is enjoyed by tea made from equal parts of dried mint leaves, flowering parts of oregano and St. John's wort. A very fragrant mixture is given by raspberry and strawberry leaves in combination with mock orange flowers. Tea made from blackberry and oregano leaves in equal proportions with chamomile and linden flowers is good for colds. Lemon balm leaves in combination with dried berries and fruits of strawberries and crushed valerian roots have a wonderful soothing and sedative effect. Chamomile tea, which can be drunk with honey at night, has the same effect. But in the morning it is better to drink tea from the catnip: it gives a good boost of vivacity for the whole day.

If you decide to start a small "tea" garden on your site, remember one indispensable condition: it must be planted in an ecologically clean place, away from the road and the place where sewage is drained. In this case, the use of pesticides is categorically excluded! And you need to be careful with fertilizers: it is best to use traditional village organic matter - manure and compost soil. Your "tea" garden will be very decorated with a light wooden arbor, in which you can arrange the Russian version of the tea ceremony. Sitting on wooden benches at a wooden table, it is pleasant to enjoy the smells of aromatic plants and taste the tea made from them, which gives us both strength and health.
