1. Watering. The lawn should be watered as needed. It is recommended to water the lawn in the evening, after sunset, so that the water does not evaporate, but is absorbed. When watering your lawn, you must take into account the type of soil on which it grows. On sandy soils, watering must be done at least once every 2-3 days, on clay soils, once every 5-7 days. When watering, the soil should be moistened at least 5 cm deep.

2. Fertilizing the lawn. Grasses growing on the lawn are constantly exposed to mechanical influences - mowing, trampling. Therefore, regular feeding is necessary. In the first year after sowing, the grass on the lawn has the greatest need for nitrogen and phosphorus. After mowing, it is recommended to apply complex fertilizers to the lawn soil. In spring we recommend using Complex Fertilizer No. 1 "Spring - Summer", and in autumn Complex Fertilizer No. 2 "Summer - Autumn". Organic fertilizers such as humus, compost are also needed for the lawn. They should be applied superficially in early spring or late autumn.

3. Haircut. Mowing the lawn is a systematic work that improves the grass stand. Regular and correct mowing increases its density, prevents the spread of weeds and gives the lawn a well-groomed appearance. Mowing should be done at least once every 4-5 days to a height of 4 cm from the soil surface. It should be remembered that no more than 1/3 of the leaf blades should be cut off in one haircut. Mow the lawn only when the soil and grass are dry. Electric lawn mowers and wet grass are not compatible. In addition, wet grass clogs the mower's blades and damages the lawn itself: the grass remains rotting, and as a result, bald spots can appear on the lawn. After mowing, the edges of the lawn are leveled with a trimmer - to give more definition to the shapes.

4. Mulching. This operation helps to retain nutrients in the soil of the lawn, level it and reduce moisture evaporation. Mulching is sometimes referred to as grounding or sanding. For this procedure

predominantly sifted humus or a mixture of sand with compost or humus is used. Before mulching, the lawn is combed out with a fan rake, removing the grass felt, and pierced with thorns or pitchforks. Then the mixture is sprinkled with a layer of about 0.5 cm. After mulching, the lawn is swept with a fan rake or a broom.

5. Aeration. Lawn aeration is a lawn maintenance activity that involves piercing the soil across the entire surface of the lawn to allow air and water to enter the soil. The need for this procedure is evidenced by a decrease in the thickness of the sod, its rapid browning in dry weather, and overgrowth with moss. As a rule, these signs appear either in trampled places, or where, due to its physical properties, the soil is compacted on its own. Frequent watering of heavy clay soils can also lead to this. Most often, the sod is pierced with hollow forks, which are simply stuck into the soil every 10 - 15 cm and taken out of it. This is quite enough for the lawn to "breathe".

6. Removal of weeds: Their appearance can be prevented even at the stage of lawn laying. To do this, you need to dig up the ground before laying the lawn, removing all the plants. And if there are a lot of weeds, then it is necessary to treat the entire soil with continuous herbicides. Selective herbicides can be used to control the spread of weeds.

7. Rolling. Rolling the soil is a surface treatment of the soil in order to level it, eliminate bumps and bumps, and retain moisture in the ground. Rolling must be done in early spring.

8. Treatment with fungicide. Treating the lawn with a fungicide prevents the spread of fungal diseases.
