A doll is a favorite toy not only for children, but also for many adults, for whom it becomes an object of artistic creation or collecting. The craftsmen who create the dolls claim that these man-made creatures have a soul. The dolls shown at the Flowers-2010 exhibition by the participants of the floristic show of the EF-Design school definitely had it. They contain not only the soul of their creators - florists, but also the historical memory of entire nations. The participants in the show themselves learned a lot about the prehistory of the images they presented, and hours of painstaking manual ore followed the research work. I would like to extend the motto proclaimed by one of the participants to all this magnificent action: "While enjoying the beautiful - study!"

Pandora
Author - Kravchenko Larisa (Kronstadt).
Despite the fact that in Greek mythology Pandora ("gifted to everyone"), according to the plan of the gods, was supposed to bring people temptations and misfortunes, and served rather to discredit the feminine principle, over time her mission changed. In the 17th century, wax dolls worn with fashionable outfits served as the prototype for fashion magazines. The large doll was accompanied by a small one. For each doll, a whole wardrobe was created, in simpler clothes she traveled, and in more expensive clothes she went out. Even the generals let it through without hindrance. This "wax doll" is made on a frame using woolen threads and glue.
