Muriel le Cul is one of the best florists in France, winner of the 2003 European Floristry Championship. In 1989 she received the Professional Diploma of Florist in Paris and in 1998 the Diploma of Professional Teacher in Floristry. Participating in the competition "The Best Professional Florist in France", Muriel won this title in 2004, and 3 years later she opened her own Center for the Training and Education of Florists "Multiethnies", where students from different countries come. In his works he attaches great importance to geometry, structure of composition. This is the theme of her book Floral Art Structure, co-authored with Gilles Boyard. Boldly incorporating state-of-the-art technology and materials into his work, Muriel stresses: "My priority is aesthetics."

Muriel loves seasonal work: "I feel like a sculptor of the ephemeral." Christmas floristry from Muriel le Cul combines both traditional elements - fruits, cinnamon sticks, and new, unexpected components - glowing devices that replace candles, tropical plants - orchids and bromeliads, as opposed to the usual plants-symbols of the New Year. These creative solutions allow you to preserve the purpose of the compositions, while enhancing the atmosphere of winter magic, splendor and luxury of everyone's favorite holiday.

Vegetable candelabrum

A tall, narrow vessel filled with blue sand, on it is a frame made of blue and silver wire, supplemented from below with small matching Christmas tree balls, hanging shoots of Tillandsia usneoides and blue glass ice discs. The top of the frame is decorated with purple Vanda flowers in test tubes. Three small candles with a diameter of 7 cm are installed in a circle. The composition is illuminated by ribbed glass pendants, which light up when the light hits.

The second composition is based on a simple cylindrical vessel of black color, which looks very graphical with painted birch branches placed in it. In the upper branches of the shoots, a kind of "nest" is comfortably settled - a ball of birch stumps with orange-pink phalaenopsis in test tubes fixed in it. Dangling shoots of tillandsia usneiform and fluffy garlands of cotton snowballs give the composition a New Year mood, and hanging LEDs further enhance it. By pulling on the bulb, the lighting can be easily activated.

The frame consists of white and black birch twigs twisted together with silver and black wires. Snowflake stars of various shapes hanging at the tips and pearl pins scattered along the entire height of the frame make the structure lighter and fill it with shimmer, while delicate phalaenopsis and branches of Rhipsalis cereuscula enliven the strict lines of the composition. The icy coldness of the frame recedes under the warm colors of flowers, symbolizing the timid victory of vitality over the kingdom of the Snow Queen.

Cinnamon composition

This composition on a flat dish includes edible elements traditional for New Year's holidays - cinnamon sticks, bright decorative apples, dried slices of red grapefruit. Scattered around the perimeter are the shoots of Rowley's rosewort (Senecio rowleyanus), which is rightfully called in everyday life "Strings of pearls". The swollen leaves of this succulent, resembling Christmas tree beads, can survive for a long time without life support. Around the frame is decorated with medium-sized greenish anthuriums (Anthurium), pale peach roses of an old form and individual hypericum buds (Hypericum). The glowing crystal in the middle enhances the warmth and enhances the aromas of cinnamon and fruit. A cold or warm shade of a light element can change the perception of the entire composition and bring it into harmony with the entire New Year's table decoration.

Table composition for receptions

Created on a transparent glass bubble crown - a hemisphere, inside which an electric light can be installed. The hemisphere is covered with a pine wreath, intertwined with a red cord, with the inclusion of the whorled holly (Ilex verticillata) and the sprigs of the wild rose. The wreath is decorated with crimson dendrobium flowers and cryptanthus rosettes on wires, without water. Small burgundy Christmas-tree balls are selected so as not to overshadow the sophistication and richness of orchids with their brilliance. The combination of pine needles with tropical plants corresponds in spirit to the fabulous New Year's holiday, when everything unrealizable becomes possible and the most incredible miracles occur.

Composition for the table in the octopus technique

The frame for this composition consists of several intertwined "tentacles" of small twigs of juniper wrapped with silver threads. The ends are decorated with transparent beads, like droplets of frozen water. The sinuous lines of the frame create the illusion of movement. The flowers are exceptionally tropical - the rough miniature blue tillandsia (Tillandsia cyanea) are balanced by the finesse of the soft Phalaenopsis and Gloriosa. In the center of the wreath is a small candle. Only phalaenopsis and glorioses are placed in test tubes, the rest of the plants do not require life support.

The first three compositions are reusable designs. Having undergone some transformation, they can be successfully used for other works.

The training center "Floreal" regularly organizes training from the best florists abroad.
